Veterans to lead Cobleskill-Richmondville girls soccer team in 2018

Returning starters: Sydney Dymes (goalkeeper), Justine Salerno (central defense), Gillian Bradley (central defense), Ali Pressley (defense), Taylor Burton (defense), Hannah Yorke (defense), Alyssa Pacatte (midfielder), Sabrina Pressley (midfielder), Alli Tsamis (midfielder), Emily Smith (midfielder), Shei Christiansen (midfielder), Hannah Richards (midfielder) Emma Osterhoudt (striker), Grace Baker (forward), Rachael Yorke (forward)

Graduated: Hannah Bradley (defense), Sarah Alliwie (defense), Ali Pacatte (midfielder)

Newcomers: Larissa Bruyette (midfielder), Grace Dunham (midfielder)

Outlook for season: Bielert described the Lady Bulldogs as “an athletic team with talent in every position.”

“The midfielders are quick and know how to move the ball,” said Bielert. “The forwards are fast, good with the ball at their feet and can find the goal.”

Bielert said he is hopeful Cobleskill-Richmondville can be one of the Colonial Council’s elite teams this season.

“We want to finish in the top five for the Colonial Council,” he said. “However, we realize this season will be very competitive, and we are going to work hard to get wins. We are going to play an attacking style of soccer, with an emphasis on possession.”
