Newcomers: Rhett Mercier (offensive line/linebacker), Caleb Dyer (running back/defensive back), Max Hems (offensive line/defensive line)

Outlook for season: With most of last year’s starters returning for another go-around, Stillwater is a favorite to get back to the Class C Super Bowl.

“When you return as many players as we do this season, expectations are always higher,” said Godfrey, who owns a 15-4 record as Stillwater’s coach. “Class C is a competitive classification, and nothing is guaranteed. Each game will be a test, and hopefully we stay healthy and compete.”
