LATHAM – Shaker raced out to a 28-0 lead and never looked back in defeating Albany 76-0 Friday, Aug. 31, in its Section 2 Class AA football opener.

Running back Ravion Burt had touchdown runs of 14 and 32 yards to give the Blue Bison (1-0) an early 14-0 lead. Later, running back Jovani Wiggs took off on a 49-yard touchdown run to put Shaker in complete control.

Burt and Wiggs each ran for 78 yards and two touchdowns to lead Shaker’s offense. Logan Souza added an 84-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to start the third quarter.
