Shaker boys soccer caps weekend non-league action by beating Utica-Proctor

After losing to Whitesboro the day before, the Shaker boys soccer team rebounded with a 6-2 victory over Section 3’s Utica-Proctor Saturday, Sept. 1, at Ballston Spa High School.

Ian Wu recorded a hat trick to lead the Blue Bison (1-2). Jack Acquario contributed two goals and an assist, and Ryan Watson added a goal late in the second half. Stephen Guidi recorded a pair of assists.

Whitesboro took a 2-0 halftime lead on Shaker in their non-league match Friday, Aug. 31. Guidi and Acquario struck for second-half goals for the Blue Bison, but Shaker could not catch Whitesboro.
