Taconic Hills had to fight through the third set to pull out a 3-0 sweep against Cairo-Durham Tuesday, Sept. 4, in a Patroon Conference girls volleyball match.

After winning the first two sets 25-9 and 25-16, the Titans needed everything they had to edge the Mustangs 25-23 in the third set to seal their victory.

Emma Leipman recorded 13 aces and added three kills to lead Taconic Hills. Heather Scutt contributed six aces, while Abbey Gajtkowski added three aces and three kills. Hailey Ward finished with four kills and two blocks.

In other Patroon Conference action, Greenville registered a three-set sweep against Coxsackie-Athens by scores of 25-7, 25-15 and 25-12.
