GUILDERLAND CENTER – Sophia Renaud scored the go-ahead goal in the second half to lift Guilderland (3-0-1) to a 2-1 victory over Garden City (Section 8) in a non-league girls soccer game Friday, Sept. 7.

Erin Studdert tallied in the first half for visiting Garden City. Lauren Conti netted the tying goal off a feed from Margot Nezaj, and Nezaj assisted on Renaud’s game winner.

Goalkeepers Kiersten Becker and Molly Dicaprio combined to stop nine of Garden City’s 10 shots. Abby Cox and Lindsey Gambino had a collective total of 11 saves for Garden City.
