NEW LEBANON – New Lebanon earned a rematch with Catskill in the finals of the Tigers’ home boys soccer tournament with a 3-1 victory over Taconic Hills Friday, Sept. 7.
After some early scoring threats by Taconic Hills, New Lebanon got on the board first. Tyler Price scored off a free kick by James Lambert for a 1-0 Tigers’ lead.
Teagan Campion-Pratt tied the score for Taconic Hills in the second half, but Price knocked the ball into the goal a second time to put New Lebanon in front again. Keagan Carson added an insurance goal midway through the second half to propel the Tigers into the tournament finals.
Catskill advanced to Saturday’s final with a 3-0 victory over Berlin. Taconic Hills meets Berlin in the consolation game at 3 p.m. in New Lebanon, followed by the championship match.
