The Queensbury boys soccer team took over sole possession of first place in the Foothills Council with a 5-0 victory over Hudson Falls Monday, Sept. 10.
Aidan Jordan-Donnelly notched the first two goals for the Spartans (4-0 league, 6-1 overall) off assists from Lorenzo Cicagno. Brendan Duffy then headed home a corner kick from Teddy Borgos to put Queensbury ahead 3-0 before halftime.
Drew Crawford and Lucas McCane added goals in the second half, and goalkeeper Ethan Willis made five saves to pick up a combined shutout with Jack Sylvia for Queensbury. Justin Fenton and Joe Potvin had a combined total of 13 saves for Hudson Falls (3-1, 4-2).
