Colonial Council girls soccer: Bella Tronco leads Holy Names past Lansingburgh; Mohonasen doubles up Catholic Central

Bella Tronco scored two goals and added a pair of assists to lead Academy of Holy Names to a 7-0 victory over Lansingburgh in a Colonial Council girls soccer game Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Tronco scored unassisted in the first half and tallied on a second-half penalty kick for Holy Names. Ava Panto struck twice in the first half, and Megan Marini contributed a goal and an assist. Riley Taylor added a first half goal.

Lansingburgh goalkeeper Julia Currier had 11 saves.

In other Colonial Council action, Mohonasen doubled up Catholic Central 4-2 in Rotterdam. Izzy O’Clair led the Mighty Warriors with a goal and an assist. Mohonasen’s other goals came from Hailey Dunsmore, Matti Muller and Liv Raucci.

Claudia Fountain and Madison Clemont tallied for Catholic Central. Goalkeeper Maddie Finn made nine saves for the Crusaders.
