Lake George competed against a tough field of teams from across New York State at the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Girls Volleyball Tournament Saturday, Sept. 22.
The Warriors began pool play by splitting two sets with Horseheads (Section 4). Lake George won the opener 25-17 and lost the second set 25-23. Jazzy Burke had 10 service points and 17 assists, while Mikayla Duffy recorded nine kills and Adrianna Eigo added 17 defensive digs.
Lake George swept its two sets against Oneonta (Section 4) by scores of 25-10 and 25-23. Eigo notched 16 service points, Duffy registered six kills, and Burke contributed seven assists and 10 digs.
Cornwall (Section 9) took both sets from Lake George in the Warriors’ next match. Eigo had seven service points, Duffy chipped in with four kills, and Burke added nine assists and six digs for Lake George.
The Warriors concluded pool play against Section 2 power Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, with the Spartans taking both sets 25-11 and 25-12. Burke led Lake George with three service points.
