Wasaren League boys soccer: Tyler Nemjo helps Tamarac defeat Stillwater; Waterford-Halfmoon shuts down Berlin

Tyler Nemjo’s performance in goal helped Tamarac fend off Stillwater 2-1 Saturday, Sept. 29, in a Wasaren League boys soccer game.

Nemjo stopped 15 of the 16 shots he faced to pick up the victory for the Bengals. Alex Bassey and Xander Gliosco tallied for Tamarac, with Dylan Briccetti picking up an assist.

Jack Rubenstein scored Stillwater’s lone goal, and goalkeeper Tim Buchal had six saves.

Elsewhere in the Wasaren League, Waterford-Halfmoon shut out Berlin 7-0 on Homecoming Night. Hunter Guertin scored twice in the first half to help the Fordians build a 4-0 halftime lead.

Tyler Galarneau, Jason Cordts, Nate Powell, Nick Rich and Jaycen Janusz all added goals for Waterford-Halfmoon, and Bobby Valigorsky recorded eight saves in goal.
