Schalmont used a balanced attack to defeat Catholic Central 3-1 Monday, Oct. 1, in a Colonial Council girls soccer game.

Isabella Almodovar, Jules Monlea and Ashley Cirilla scored Schalmont’s goals, and goalkeeper Eden Messemer needed only to make two saves as the Sabres controlled the flow of play.

Claudia Fountain tallied off a pass from Emily Drake, and goalie Maddie Finn stopped nine shots for Catholic Central.

Elsewhere in the Colonial Council, Mohonasen edged Lansingburgh 1-0, while Academy of the Holy Names tripped up Ichabod Crane 6-0.

Hailey Dunsmore scored off Liv Raucci’s assist to provide Mohonasen’s offense. The Mighty Warriors were coming off a 1-0 overtime loss to Schalmont on Saturday, Sept. 29.

Ava Panto recorded a hat trick and an assist to lead Holy Names past Ichabod Crane. Riley Taylor, Megan Marini and Marissa DeMartino all added a goal and an assist.

Goalie Sydney Dymes had 11 saves for Ichabod Crane.
