NEW LEBANON – On a field still soaked from Tuesday’s rain, New Lebanon raced out to a 4-1 halftime lead and defeated Mekeel Christian Academy 7-3 Wednesday, Oct. 3, in a non-league boys soccer game.

Paulo Scolari recorded a hat trick, and Keagan Carson contributed a goal and three assists for the Tigers. Wyatt Powers and Devin Simmons notched their first career varsity goals, and Tyler Price added a goal.

Lens Lima tallied twice to lead the Mekeel Christian Lions, while Dan McCarty had his team’s other goal.
