Glens Falls jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead and held on for a 3-2 victory over Gloversville Friday, Oct. 5, in a Foothills Council boys soccer game.

Mitchell Riopelle tallied less than 11 minutes into the game, and Avery Wiggins scored midway through the first half to put Glens Falls (3-8-0) in front. Damian Bruce got Gloversville (2-9-0) on the scoreboard a little more than 10 minutes into the second half, but Nick West struck two minutes later to help the Indians regain their two-goal cushion.

Emran Abbas tallied in the final two minutes to draw Gloversville within a goal, but that was as close as Glens Falls would allow the Huskies to get.

Goalkeeper Ben Difiore had four saves for Glens Falls, while Cayden King and Jacob Kataneksza stopped a combined total of six shots for Gloversville.
