WATERFORD – Hunter Guertin increased his team-leading goal total to 27 for the season as he led Waterford-Halfmoon to a 6-1 victory over Tamarac Saturday, Oct. 6, in a Wasaren League boys soccer game.
Guertin recorded a natural hat trick to lead off the game, scoring the Fordians’ first three goals in the opening 27 minutes. The senior striker added his fourth goal midway through the second half.
Jason Cordts tallied in the final minute of the first half off a pass from Nate Powell, and Jack O’Brien launched a 25-yard shot that bounced off the goal post and into the net for the Fordians’ final goal.
Xander Gliosco notched Tamarac’s lone goal with nine minutes left in the second half.
