Colonial Council boys soccer: Schalmont does not need overtime on Senior Night

After playing four consecutive overtime contests, Schalmont cruised to a 5-0 Senior Night victory over Lansingburgh Tuesday, Oct. 9, in a Colonial Council boys soccer game.

Underclassment led the way for the Sabres (12-1-2). Hamza Noor scored seven minutes into the contest off a rebound, and freshman Drew Kuzek tallied off a feed from Matt Horwedel to give Schalmont a 2-0 lead at the half.

Sophomore Ryan Edwards buried a tough-angle shot into the upper corner of the net 13 minutes into the second half to put Schalmont ahead 3-0. Noor tallied 30 seconds later off a pass from Edwards, and Kusek added his second goal of the evening later in the half to finish the scoring.
