Amsterdam and Broadalbin-Perth each took a team victory at their Foothills Council duel meet Tuesday, Oct. 9.

Amsterdam edged Broadalbin-Perth 27-28 in the girls race, while the Broadalbin-Perth boys defeated Amsterdam 20-43.

Lauren Santiago led the Amsterdam girls team with a first-place time of 22:34.90. Broadalbin-Perth runners took three of the next four places, but Amsterdam’s fifth runner finished ahead of Broadalbin-Perth’s fifth runner to give the Running Rams the victory.

Gabby Larsen led the Patriots with a second-place time of 22:45.20.

Amsterdam’s Trevor Dzikowicz won the boys race with a time of 19:40.30, but Broadalbin-Perth runners swept the next eight places to cruise to victory. Danny Dylong led the Patriots’ pack with a time of 19:50.80.
