Teddy Borgos followed up his seven-goal performance against Scotia-Glenville with a four-goal afternoon in Queensbury’s 7-1 victory over Glens Falls Wednesday, Oct. 10, in a Foothills Council boys soccer game.
Queensbury’s seniors also performed well in their final home game of the regular season. Lorenzo Cicogna had a goal and an assist, Aidan Jordi-Donnelly contributed three assists and Ray Jones added a goal for the Spartans (12-0-0 league, 14-1-0 overall). Sam Rowley also tallied, and Alex Roca chipped in with two assists.
Evan Wiggins scored a goal in the first half for Glens Falls (3-9-0, 4-10-0), and goalkeeper Ben Difiore had 12 saves.
Elsewhere in the Foothills Council, Damian Bruce’s goal in the 71st minute propelled Gloversville to a 3-2 victory over Amsterdam.
Bruce also struck in the 19th minute, and Ryan Issa tallied six minutes into the second half for Gloversville (4-11-0). Goalie Jacob Kataneksza had six saves.
Antonio Reyes and Nick Rodecker tallied in the second half for Amsterdam (5-10-0).
