CANAJOHARIE – Noah Fagnani recorded a hat trick to lead Schoharie to a 6-3 victory over Canajoharie Thursday, Oct. 11, in a Western Athletic Conference boys soccer game.
Jacob Nowalk gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead 15 minutes into the first half, but Nathaniel Simmons headed in a corner kick and Daniel Bernhardt knocked in a rebound off a shot off the goal post to put the Indians ahead 2-1 by halftime.
Fagnani scored all three of his goals in the second half, as Schoharie pulled away for the victory. Skyler Jankowski added a goal for the Indians, while Nowalk and Braden Greenslete tallied for Canajoharie.
Schoharie goalkeeper Bailey Smart made seven saves, while Canajoharie netminder Jared Bentz stopped 13 shots.
