Adirondack League girls soccer: Lake George completes perfect league season by defeating Fort Ann in final

Lake George claimed the Adirondack League girls soccer title with a 2-0 victory over Fort Ann Saturday, Oct. 13.

Sarah Kohls scored unassisted eight minutes into the game and struck again at the 30-minute mark off a pass from Gabby Weidner to give the Warriors their two-goal advantage. Fort Ann made several attempts to get on the scoreboard, but Samantha Jeckel stopped all 11 shots she faced to earn the shutout in goal.

Fort Ann goalie Faith Lehoisky kept the Cardinals in the game with 18 saves.

Lake George entered the game ranked No. 3 among Class C teams in the New York State Sportswriters Association poll, while Fort Ann was ranked seventh in Class D.
