Due to poor field conditions, Schoharie’s home game against Galway Saturday, Oct. 13, was moved to Galway High School, with the Indians remaining the “home team.”
Schoharie then overcame a 2-0 halftime deficit to tie Galway 2-2 in their Western Athletic Conference boys soccer season finale.
Derek Dietz tallied 40 seconds into the second half, and Noah Fagnani scored less than six minutes later to pull Schoharie even. The two teams remained tied through regulation and two 10-minute overtime periods thanks in large part to Galway goalkeeper Henry Flint, who made several saves.
Flint finished with 12 stops for the Golden Eagles, while Daryl Conor and Anthony Powers scored Galway’s goals.
