Wasaren League announces boys soccer all-stars

Mechanicville’s Jeff Luce was named the most valuable offensive player, and teammate Justin Pugliese was selected as the most valuable defensive player by the Wasaren League boys soccer coaches when they announced the league’s all-star teams Saturday, Oct. 27.

Luce currently leads all Section 2 offensive players with 33 goals, to go along with eight assists. Pugliese led a Mechanicville defense that allowed a total of 20 goals this season, including seven shutouts.

Cambridge’s Parker Robertson was named the Wasaren League’s most valuable goalkeeper. The junior stopped 83 percent of the shots he faced to help the Indians finish with a 7-7-2 record.
