Stillwater’s Brooke Pickett named Wasaren League girls soccer Offensive Player of the Year; all-star teams revealed

The Wasaren League girls soccer coaches named Stillwater’s Brooke Pickett the Offensive Player of the Year and Mechanicville’s Ryleigh Hopeck as Defensive Player of the Year when they revealed their all-star teams.

Pickett, a sophomore, led Section 2 in goals scored (52) as she helped Stillwater claim the Class C state title this season. Hopeck was part of a Mechanicville defensive unit that was one of the stingiest in the league.
