Three recent Section 2 graduates will be on the sidelines Friday, Dec. 28, cheering on the Syracuse University football team when it plays West Virginia in the Camping World Bowl in Orlando, Fla.
Madison Dallas (Saratoga Springs High School Class of 2017), Brenna Hart (Shenendehowa High School Class of 2017) and Caitlyn Harley (Shaker High School Class of 2016) made the roster for the Syracuse University co-ed cheer team, which appears at football and men’s basketball games. The squad also appears at special events and fundraisers around Syracuse, including the opening ceremonies for the New York State Fair and events benefiting Make-A-Wish, the United Way and the Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital.
This is the third year for Harley on the co-ed team, and the second year for both Dallas and Hart. All three girls cheered for their respective high schools, with Dallas and Hart also participating with Cheer Intensity, a club team based in Green Island.
Dallas, Hart and Harley were also chosen to be part of the Syracuse University cheer team that is slated to compete in January at the UCA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championships in Orlando, Fla.
