Cobleskill-Richmondville outscored Albany Academy for Girls 18-11 in the fourth quarter to pull out a 51-43 victory Friday, Dec. 14, in a Colonial Council girls basketball game.
Ellia Dannible and Jess Meade each scored 12 points for Cobleskill-Richmondville, which held a one-point halftime lead. Aaliyah Juste netted 21 points, and Mianna Jackson added 12 points for Albany Academy for Girls.
Elsewhere in the Colonial Council, Voorheesville won a defensive battle against Cohoes by pulling away for a 44-23 victory. The Blackbirds outscored the Tigers 25-9 in the second half to take command of the game.
Olivia Barringer had 13 points, and Claudia Reilly contributed 10 points for Voorheesville. Olivia Huneau scored 12 points for Cohoes.
Watervliet jumped out to a 23-4 lead in the first quarter and cruised to a 62-47 victory over Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk. Tyleseaa Edge netted 15 points, and Makayla Milligan chipped in with 11 points for Watervliet. Samantha Baker poured in 15 points, and Lauren Sanderson added 13 points for RCS.
Schalmont scored 32 points in the second half to defeat Ichabod Crane 56-41. Haley Burchhardt led four Sabres in double digits with 19 points, and Payton Graber made three shots from behind the three-point arc as part of a 15-point night. Kyla Elliott scored 20 points for the Riders.
Academy of the Holy Names led 17-6 after one quarter and 33-14 at halftime on its way to a 60-32 victory over Lansingburgh. Eleanor Cepiel had 12 points, and Saniyya Adams contributed 10 points for Holy Names, which placed 12 players in the score column. Patience Riley netted 14 points for Lansingburgh.
