Saratoga Springs hockey team upends Shenendehowa; Albany Academy shuts out Capital District

Mack Ogden scored a pair of goals to lead Saratoga Springs to a 5-3 victory over Shenendehowa Wednesday, Dec. 19, in a Capital District High School Hockey League game at Clifton Park Arena.

Joe Amodio, Anthony LaMonda and Devon Wormley also tallied for the Blue Streaks (2-1-0 league, 5-2-0 overall), and goalie Brad Blake made 21 saves.

Brennan Alheim, Carter Hansen and Tyler Sullivan scored Shen’s goals, and goalie Kent Leighton stopped 39 shots. Zach Rupert added two assists for the Plainsmen (2-1-0, 4-3-0).

Elsewhere in the CDHSHL, Albany Academy moved into first place with a 4-0 home victory over the Capital District Jets. Dan Moshier, Anthony Sericolo and Owen Robinson scored first-period goals for the Cadets (4-0-0, 4-1-0). Sericolo and Moshier finished the night with a goal and an assist apiece.

Goalie Philip Ryan made 27 saves for the Capital District Jets (0-5-0, 0-7-0).
