A 26-6 run in the third quarter helped Mohonasen pull away for a 63-33 victory over Cohoes Thursday, Jan. 3, in a Colonial Council boys basketball game in Rotterdam.

The Mighty Warriors built a 30-17 halftime lead before putting the game out of the Tigers’ reach with their third quarter burst.

Duncan Tallman had 15 points, and Chase Monroe contributed 12 points for Mohonasen (3-3 league, 6-4 overall), which returned to the .500 mark in the Colonial Council with its victory. Troy Snyder scored nine points, and Jonathan LaSure added eight points for Cohoes (0-6, 1-8).
