Albany Academy for Girls overcame a five-point halftime deficit to pull out a 44-41 victory over Ichabod Crane in a Colonial Council basketball game Friday, Jan. 4.
Aaliyah Juste poured in 28 points to lead the Bears to victory. Madison Graham paced the Riders with 18 points.
In other Colonial Council action, Academy of the Holy Names defeated Voorheesville 51-31 on the road. Grace Field scored seven of her team-high 19 points in the fourth quarter as Holy Names pulled away with an 18-5 run.
Olivia Barringer had 12 points for Voorheesville.
Schalmont defeated Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk 49-44 in Ravena behind 18 points from Haley Burchhardt and 13 points from Emily Lenehan. Lauren Sanderson scored 13 points for RCS.
Catholic Central outscored Watervliet 32-23 in the second half to pull away for a 67-55 victory. Riqiya Harris had 21 points, and Sarah Mattefield added 19 points for the Crusaders. Makayla Milligan netted 23 points for the Cannoneers.
Cobleskill-Richmondville hung on for a 52-49 victory over Lansingburgh. Sabrina Pressley scored 17 points, and Jess Meade contributed 12 points for the Bulldogs. Patience Riley led Lansingburgh with 14 points.
Mohonasen closed the game on an 18-10 run to defeat Cohoes 45-39. Breanna Lott registered 18 points, and Kateri Vumbaco added 10 points for the Mighty Warriors. Shawna Ferris and Olivia Huneau each scored 10 points for Cohoes.
