Maple Hill jumped out to a 20-5 lead in the first quarter and cruised to a 55-41 victory over Chatham in a Patroon Conference girls basketball game Friday, Jan. 11.
Stacia Coyne netted 14 points, and Lauryn Smith contributed 12 points for the Wildcats, who remained undefeated in league play. Naveah Daigle had nine points for Chatham.
Second-place Hudson kept pace with Maple Hill by defeating Cairo-Durham 61-49. Deja Beauford and Jenaya Robinson each scored 20 points for the Blue Hawks, who pulled away by outscoring Cairo-Durham 21-12 in the fourth quarter.
Jolie Polsen led Cairo-Durham with 18 points, while Arianna Myers chipped in with 13 points.
Elsewhere in the Patroon Conference, Catskill built a 32-18 halftime lead and fended off Coxsackie-Athens 48-37. Janay Brantley had 18 points, and Ashley Shook added 13 points for the Cats. Anya Josberger paced Coxsackie-Athens with 13 points.
Greenville opened the game on a 17-7 run and ran past Taconic Hills 56-39. Isabella Trostle knocked down three shots from beyond the three-point arc and finished with 16 points for the Spartans, while Skyla Van Fleet contributed 13 points.
Marleah Perry had 14 points, and Morgan Hoose added 11 points for Taconic Hills. Perry sank three three-pointers for the Titans.
