Patroon Conference girls basketball: Strong start propels Greenville past Coxsackie-Athens

Greenville jumped out to a 15-6 lead in the first quarter and cruised to a 56-34 victory over Coxsackie-Athens Friday, Jan. 18, in a Patroon Conference girls basketball game.

Natalie Krasney poured in 23 points to lead the Spartans, who extended their lead to 16 points at halftime. Isabella Trostle contributed 12 points.

Tori Brockett and Ryan Carroll each scored 10 points for Coxsackie-Athens.

In another Patroon Conference game, Maple Hill scored the first 18 points of the night on its way to a 46-14 victory over Taconic Hills.

Stacia Coyne had 11 points, and Callie Heller contributed nine points as part of a balanced attack for the Wildcats. Nine Maple Hill players scored at least two points in the victory.

Chandler Hoose and Marleah Perry each netted five points for Taconic Hills.
