Garrett Delaney led four Mayfield players in double figures with 18 points as the Panthers defeated Northville 64-46 Friday, Jan. 18, in a Western Athletic Conference boys basketball game.
The Falcons (1-7 league, 6-9 overall) led 16-14 after the first quarter, but the Panthers scored 21 points in the second quarter to grab a four-point halftime lead and pulled away by scoring the final 11 points of the game.
Anthony Yuret contributed 14 points, Trevor Gifford chipped in with 11 points and Evan Lehr added 10 points for Mayfield, which defeated Northville for the second time this season.
Nate Reidell netted 24 points, and Jason Ellsworth added 10 points for Northville.
Elsewhere in the WAC, Canajoharie outscored Berne-Knox-Westerlo 38-24 in the second half to pull out a 68-59 victory in Berne.
Luke VanSlyke poured in 27 points, and Joey Nare chipped in with 11 points for the Cougars. Zeke Pulliam paced BKW with 24 points, and Adam Esposito contributed 14 points.
