Queensbury took the boys’ team title, and Mayfield finished first in the girls’ team standings at the Mayfield Nordic Invitational Friday, Jan. 25, at Lapland Lake Nordic Ski Center.
Queensbury had the second-, third- and fifth-place finishers in the boys’ race to finish with 10 points. Lake George was second with 25 points, and Shenendehowa finished third with 38 points, one point ahead of Mayfield.
Lake George’s Paul Lindsay finished first with a time of 22:07. Nick Logan of Queensbury was second with a time of 22:36.3, and teammate Lucas Jenkin placed third with a time of 22:37.6.
Mayfield skiers finished one-two in the girls race to lead the Panthers to victory. Mayfield finished with seven points, while Shen took second place with 31 points and Scotia-Glenville placed third with 35 points.
Mayfield’s Madison Relyea was the individual champion with a time of 22:47.9. Fianna Halloran was second for the Panthers with a time of 25:13.1, and Kira Williams finished fourth overall with a time of 26:35.4. Hadley-Luzerne’s Katrin Schreiner placed third with a time of 26:27.9.
