Maple Hill jumped out to an 18-2 lead in the first quarter and cruised to a 66-43 victory over Albany Leadership Academy for Girls Friday, Feb. 1, in a Patroon Conference girls basketball game.
Stacia Coyne netted 15 points, and Callie Haller chipped in with 10 points for the Wildcats, who placed 10 players in the scoring column. Dayari Daniels had 17 points, and Jamira Galloway added 16 points for Albany Leadership.
Elsewhere in the Patroon Conference, Rensselaer edged Greenville 46-44. The Rams rallied from a 16-6 deficit to pull out the two-point win.
Navia Bynum scored 18 points, and Mechalle Cancer contributed 15 points for Rensselaer. Skyla Van Fleet paced Greenville with 16 points, and Isabella Trostle added 11 points.
Hudson eased past Taconic Hills 71-20. The BlueHawks opened the game on a 22-0 run and led 41-8 at halftime.
Deja Beauford poured in 26 points, while Katie Jepsen and Aaliyah Jones each added 10 points for Hudson. Morgan Hoose led Taconic Hills with eight points.
