Hoosick Falls outscored Tamarac 23-10 in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 65-52 victory Friday, Feb. 1, in a Wasaren League boys basketball game.
Jon Kempf and Max Kipp made a combined total of seven three-pointers to help the Panthers pull out the road win. Kempf finished with 22 points, and Kipp contributed 18 points, while Tristan Williams added 19 points for Hoosick Falls.
Bo Catherwood had 16 points, and Anthony Ciampolillo chipped in with 11 points for Tamarac.
Elsewhere in the Wasaren League, Stillwater edged Mechanicville 59-56 in overtime after the Red Raiders rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit to take a 42-40 lead late in the fourth quarter. Scott Travis hit a game-tying jump shot for the Warriors and then made a three-pointer as time expired in overtime to give Stillwater the victory.
Travis finished with a team-high 21 points for Stillwater that included four three-pointers. Anthony Attala netted 24 points for Mechanicville.
Cambridge jumped out to a 22-6 lead in the first quarter on its way to a 57-29 victory over Berlin. Nick Murphy had 20 points for Cambridge, while Malachi Ritter led Berlin with 13 points.
Greenwich built a 47-17 halftime lead and sailed past Saratoga Central Catholic 82-57. John Walsh paced the Witches 28 points, and Sam Howard added 16 points. Ryan McCarroll had 12 points for Spa Catholic.
Hoosic Valley outscored Waterford-Halfmoon 30-11 in the second half to defeat the Fordians 49-36. Zach Ryan netted 12 points, and Isaac Carlo chipped in with 11 points for Hoosic Valley. Bobby Valigorski scored 15 points for Waterford-Halfmoon.
