Scenes from the CDHSHL: Albany Academy hangs on for road win against Burnt Hills/Ballston Spa

GLENVILLE – Albany Academy earned two important standings points in the Capital District High School Hockey League by defeating Burnt Hills/Ballston Spa 4-2 Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Schenectady County Recreational Facility.

The Cadets (10-3-0, 14 points) built a 2-0 lead through the first two periods on goals from Connor Momrow and Dan Moshier. Anthony Sericolo then struck twice in the third period to help Albany Academy fend off a late surge by Burnt Hills/Ballston Spa (6-5-1, 10 points). Goalie Dan Guy had 36 saves.

The victory moved Albany Academy into sole possession of second place in the CDHSHL, three points behind Bethlehem (11-2-0, 17 points). Meanwhile, Burnt Hills/Ballston Spa slipped into seventh place in the standings after suffering its third loss in its last four league games.
