Scenes from WAC baseball: Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons shuts out Berne-Knox-Westerlo

ROTTERDAM – Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons improved its record to 2-1 with an 8-0 victory over Berne-Knox-Westerlo Saturday, March 30, in a Western Athletic Conference baseball game at Rotterdam Babe Ruth.

Two pitchers combined on a two-hit shutout for the Golden Knights, who won their WAC opener after splitting two non-league games. Christian Baaki led the offense with a double and two singles, and Nick Kownack added a double.

Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons has now allowed two runs in its last two games after giving up 13 runs in a season-opening loss to Coxsackie-Athens March 25.
