Saratoga Springs held on for a 12-11 victory over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake in a Suburban Council girls lacrosse game Tuesday, April 2, in Saratoga Springs.
Lindsay Frank scored five goals and added an assist to lead the Blue Streaks. Ella Payer had a hat trick and contributed four assists, while goaltender Abigail Searles stopped 11 shots.
MK Lescault tallied five times to lead Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake’s offense.
Elsewhere in the Suburban Council, Guilderland fended off Columbia 14-12. The Lady Dutch took an 8-4 lead into halftime and then stalled a Blue Devil rally in the second half to pull out the two-goal win.
Amanda Nieman struck for six goals, and Lauren Thompson chipped in with three goals for Guilderland. Sophia Renaud and Sara Williams each tallied twice, and Jamie Golderman added a goal and two assists.
Ciarra Mazzone scored six goals to lead Columbia’s offense. Ashley Murtagh and Liz Cohen tallied two goals apiece.
Bethlehem jumped out to an 11-1 first-half lead on its way to a 17-4 Suburban Council victory over Averill Park. Caroline Wise led a balanced attack for the Lady Eagles with four goals and two assists. Lindsey Ayres recorded a hat trick and two assists, and Mae Healy added three goals.
Janey Adams paced Averill Park with a pair of goals, and goalie Skye Taylor made 13 saves.
In the Foothills Council, visiting Johnstown defeated Hoosick Falls 15-8. Maddie Etherton powered the Lady Bills’ offense with a six-goal afternoon, and Abbey Hollister provided five goals and three assists.
Lillian Hickey registered a hat trick for Hoosick Falls.
