CANAJOHARIE – A passed ball allowed the winning run to score in the bottom of the seventh inning as Canajoharie edged Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons 6-5 Tuesday, April 16, in a Western Athletic Conference baseball game.
The Golden Knights scored two runs in the top of the seventh to tie the score at 5-5 before Richie Tamsett sprinted home from third base in the bottom half of the inning to give the Cougars the victory.
Isaiah Logan crushed a two-run homer, and starting pitcher Jack Montayne struck out 13 batters in 6.2 innings of work for Canajoharie. Keegan Myers and Derek Hyney each drove in a run for the Cougars.
Christian Baaki led Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons with three RBI.
