Brendan Disonell tossed a complete game with nine strikeouts to lead Shenendehowa to a 3-1 victory over Averill Park Thursday, April 25, in a Suburban Council baseball contest.
Jack Nichols drove in Joe Milanese with an RBI single in the top of the first inning to give Averill Park a 1-0 lead. Jake Reinisch’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third inning plated Evan Bean with the tying run, and Ben Lavery drove in Disonell from third on an RBI single to give the Plainsmen a 2-1 advantage.
Nick Lemire scored an insurance run in the sixth inning when pinch hitter Chase Carroll singled to center field. Disonell then struck out the side in the top of the seventh to cap Shen’s victory.
Averill Park pitchers Alex Hotaling and Avery Pascucci worked out of several jams to limit Shen to three runs.
