Claudia Fountain’s hat trick helped Catholic Central edge Emma Willard 8-7 Thursday, May 2, in a Colonial Council girls lacrosse game.
Lia Casale and Hope Wilk each contributed a pair of goals, and Kolby Doemel added three assists for the Crusaders. With the loss, Emma Willard’s record dropped to 2-5 on the season.
Elsewhere in the Colonial Council, Academy of the Holy Names doubled up Hoosick Falls 12-6. Grace Field and Suzie Smith led Holy Names with four goals apiece, and Lauren Mesick chipped in with two goals and an assist. Lillian Hickey tallied three times for the Panthers in the loss.
In the Suburban Council, Niskayuna eased past Colonie 14-1. Ashlyn McPartlon led the Silver Warriors with a hat trick, and goaltender Alexa Lashway stopped eight of the nine shots she faced. Peyton Reihs contributed a pair of goals.
Sophia Thompson had the lone goal for Colonie. Goalie Abigail Wagner made eight saves.
Saratoga Springs defeated Queensbury 16-15 in overtime in a non-league game.
