Bethlehem jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning and cruised past Shaker 9-1 Thursday, May 2, in a Suburban Council softball game.
Clare Boegel came close to hitting for the cycle for the Lady Eagles. Boegel finished the game with a single, a double, a triple and four RBI. Aria Losee singled twice and scored three runs, and Haley Nash added a two-run homer.
In the pitcher’s circle, Bethlehem freshman Anna Cleary scattered five hits over seven innings to pick up the victory, Cleary helped herself at the plate, too, with a double and two RBI.
Bethlehem is off until Monday, May 6, when it plays Greenville in a non-league game. The Lady Eagles return to Suburban Council play with games against Colonie and Niskayuna next week.
