Cole Hedden’s RBI double in the bottom of the ninth inning propelled Niskayuna to an 8-7 victory over Albany Academy Saturday, May 11, in a non-league baseball game at Schenectady’s Central Park.

Albany Academy scored four runs in the top of the fourth inning to take a 7-5 lead, but Niskayuna chipped away and tied the score in the bottom of the seventh before pulling out the victory in extra innings.

James Murphy drove in three runs with a pair of hits for Niskayuna, and Chris Erickson added a triple and a single. Daniel Moshier tripled and doubled as part of a three-hit afternoon for Albany Academy.

Niskayuna improved its overall record to 11-3 with the victory.
