Whitehall was more dominant than Ballston Spa in winning the Class D title. The Railroaders outscored their foes 38-1 from the regional round to their 11-run victory over Brocton.

Austin Barnao singled four times and drove in six runs to lead Whitehall’s 10-hit attack. Jake Moore scored four runs, and pitcher Thomas Fish helped his own cause with a pair of hits in the crisp, five-inning affair.

In Class AA, Hunter Walsh tossed a no-hitter to lead McQuaid Jesuit of Rochester (Section 5) past Shenendehowa 5-0. Walsh let his fielders do much of the work, as he struck out four batters and allowed a walk in seven innings.

Evan Jones took the loss for Shen, allowing five runs and five hits in 3.2 innings of work. Matt Mariano got the final out of the fourth inning and pitched three more solid innings to keep the Plainsmen within striking distance.

In Class B, defending state champion Center Moriches (Section 11) handled Schuylerville 11-1. Alex Maag hit a three-run homer to get things going for Center Moriches, which finished the season with an undefeated record.
