Watervliet scored the final five points of the game to defeat Lansingburgh 58-52 in a Colonial Council girls basketball game Tuesday, Jan. 8.
Raynelle Davis scored 13 points, and Makayla Milligan contributed 12 points for the Cannoneers. Autumn Anderson netted 14 points for the Lady Knights, who closed the gap to one point with less than one minute left in the fourth quarter. Patience Riley chipped in with 11 points for Lansingburgh, and Madison Teta added 10 points.
Elsewhere in the Colonial Council, Catholic Central pulled away late to defeat Voorheesville 48-42. Sarah Mattefield had 12 points, and Riqiya Harris added 11 points for the Crusaders.
