Colonial Council girls basketball: Cobleskill-Richmondville rallies past Albany Academy for Girls

Cobleskill-Richmondville outscored Albany Academy for Girls 18-11 in the fourth quarter to pull out a 51-43 victory Friday, Dec. 14, in a Colonial Council girls basketball game.

Ellia Dannible and Jess Meade each scored 12 points for Cobleskill-Richmondville, which held a one-point halftime lead. Aaliyah Juste netted 21 points, and Mianna Jackson added 12 points for Albany Academy for Girls.

Elsewhere in the Colonial Council, Voorheesville won a defensive battle against Cohoes by pulling away for a 44-23 victory. The Blackbirds outscored the Tigers 25-9 in the second half to take command of the game.

Colonial Council girls basketball report: Holy Names pulls away from Mohonasen; Voorheesville prevails over Academy

Academy of the Holy Names pulled away for a 69-35 victory over Mohonasen in a Colonial Council girls basketball game Tuesday, Dec. 12, in Rotterdam.

Holy Names built a 19-11 lead in the first quarter and put the game out of Mohonasen’s reach with a 24-7 run in the third quarter.

Colonial Council girls basketball: Albany Academy for Girls hangs on for victory over Cohoes

Albany Academy for Girls overcame Olivia Huneau’s 28-point night to defeat Cohoes 45-43 Tuesday, Dec. 4, in a Colonial Council girls basketball game.

Albany Academy’s defense limited the rest of Cohoes’ players to a combined total of 15 points to improve to 2-0 against league opponents.

Mianna Jackson scored 14 points, and Meleena Ottati added 11 points for Albany Academy.

Colonial Council girls basketball round-up: Mohonasen wins league opener; Albany Academy for Girls defeats Watervliet

The Mohonasen girls basketball team made a successful Colonial Council debut by defeating Lansingburgh 62-46 Friday, Nov. 30, in Rotterdam.

Breanna Lott poured in 32 points to lead the Mighty Warriors. Patience Riley scored 12 points for Lansingburgh.
