Canajoharie scored four times in the second half to pull out a 5-3 Western Athletic Conference boys soccer victory over Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons Sept. 4.
Canajoharie took a 2-0 lead on a first-half goal by Brian Greenslette and a tally by Cody Haig early in the second half. ND-BG tied the score at 2-2 on goals by Connor Barber and Nick Gosh, but Alex Blanchard put the Cougars back in the lead with a goal. Haig struck for his second goal a short time later to notch the eventual game winner.

ROTTERDAM – Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons scored five runs in the bottom of the third inning on its way to an 8-3 victory over Canajoharie Wednesday, May 15, in a Western Athletic Conference baseball game at Rotterdam Babe Ruth.

The Western Athletic Conference announced its Division 1 and Division 2 most valuable players and all-star boys soccer teams Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons senior Wil Lawson was named the Division 1 MVP, while Oppenheim-Ephretah-St. Johnsville’s Jack Brundage received the Division 2 MVP honor. Lawson led NDBG with 29 goals and 10 assists, while Brundage posted 32 goals and seven assists for OESJ.
Mayfield’s Evan Lehr was selected by the WAC coaches as the Division 1 Goalkeeper of the Year, while Berne-Knox-Westerlo/Duanesburg’s Tyler Goodemote was chosen as the Division 2 Goalie of the Year.

SCHENECTADY – For the second time since it re-started its boys soccer program four years ago, Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons has reached the second round of the Section 2 playoffs.
Wil Lawson’s hat trick led the eighth-seeded Golden Knights (11-4-0) to a 4-0 victory over No. 9 Bolton-Warrensburg in a Class C opening round game Thursday, Oct. 18, at Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons High School.
