Whitehall jumped out to a 15-4 lead in the first quarter and never looked back in defeating Granville 43-29 Friday, Feb. 8, in an Adirondack League girls basketball game.
Zoe Eggleston netted 11 points, and Jessica Moore added 10 points for the Railroaders, who completed the regular season with a 6-8 record in the league and an overall mark of 12-8.
Haley Corlew led Granville with 13 points, and Andrea Haynes added seven points.

Whitehall needed a big fourth quarter to defeat Corinth 46-42 Tuesday, Feb. 5, in an Adirondack League girls basketball game.
Corinth outscored Whitehall 14-3 in the third quarter to turn a six-point halftime deficit into a 31-26 lead. The Railroaders stormed back, though, and limited the Tomahawks to 11 points in the fourth quarter to regain their advantage in the end. Whitehall limited Crown Point (Section 7) to nine points in the first half on its way to a 48-35 victory Monday, Feb. 4, in a non-league girls basketball game.
Zoe Eggleston had 17 points for the Railroaders, who built a 21-9 lead at halftime and increased their advantage to 19 points in the third quarter. Kyrie Smith contributed 11 points, and Jessica Moore added nine points and 10 rebounds.

Whitehall used a 17-6 run in the second quarter to break open a close game on its way to a 46-24 victory over Fort Ann in an Adirondack League girls basketball game Thursday, Jan. 31.
The Railroaders shrugged off a slow start at the offensive end by limiting the Cardinals to four points in the first quarter. The second-quarter spurt allowed Whitehall to build a 26-10 halftime lead, and the Railroaders never looked back. Warrensburg’s balanced attack was too much for Fort Ann to overcome, as the Burghers pulled away for a 73-46 victory Friday, Jan. 25, in an Adirondack League girls basketball game.
Three Warrensburg players reached double digits in the scoring column, led by Hope Boland’s 18 points. Megan Hughes contributed 17 points, and Abigail Ranous added 16 points for the Burghers.

Sydney Gagnon scored her 1,000th career point for North Warren, but Whitehall prevailed 57-49 Thursday, Jan. 10, in an Adirondack League girls basketball game.
Gagnon finished the evening with 17 points for North Warren, including three baskets from beyond the three-point line. Eliza Brown contributed seven points for the Wildcats. Defense was the name of the game Friday, Dec. 21, as Whitehall defeated Saratoga Central Catholic 34-24 in a non-league girls basketball contest.
After a sluggish first quarter, Whitehall outscored Saratoga Catholic 13-7 in the second quarter to grab the lead. Both teams continued to struggle getting shots to fall in the second half, but the Railroaders pulled away at the end for the 10-point victory.

No. 8 Mekeel Christian Academy and No. 7 Whitehall advanced to the Section 2 Class D girls soccer quarterfinals with opening round victories Wednesday, Oct. 17.
Mekeel Christian dispatched No. 9 Heatly 6-2 at Maalwyck Park in Scotia. Michaela Van Slyck recorded a hat trick and an assist for the Lions, while Mia Biscossi, Bella Biscossi and Madison Show all adding goals. Bella Biscossi also had an assist, as did Bella Harrigan, Olivia Bowman and Jo Galarneau. WHITEHALL – Jessica Moore assisted on all three Whitehall goals in a 3-0 victory over Hadley-Luzerne Friday, Oct. 12, in an Adirondack League girls soccer game shortened by deteriorating field conditions.
Kamryn Baldwin, Zoe Eggleston and Kennedy O’Dell tallied for the Railroaders. Whitehall’s defense chipped in by not allowing a single Hadley-Luzerne shot on goal.
Lake George remained undefeated with a 4-2 victory over Salem Tuesday, Sept. 18, in an Adirondack League girls soccer game.
The Warriors – ranked No. 5 in this week’s New York State Sportswriters Association girls soccer poll – launched 48 shots on goal against the Generals, but had difficulty getting them past Salem goalkeeper Kathryn Sweenor, who made 21 saves.
