ROTTERDAM – After a Thursday evening storm suspended action in the second half, Queensbury finished off a 16-12 victory over Niskayuna in the Section 2 Class B girls lacrosse final Friday, May 24, at Mohonasen High School.
The Spartans led 12-8 at halftime and held the advantage when lightning forced the game to be suspended less than 10 minutes into the second half. Bethlehem took a 4-2 halftime lead and held on for an 8-7 victory over Shenendehowa Tuesday, May 7, in a battle of two of the top Suburban Council girls lacrosse teams.
Lauren Riker struck for four goals to lead the Lady Eagles, who moved into sole possession of second place in the league standings. Lindsey Ayres and Paige Halliday each contributed a pair of goals, and goaltender Amanda Koch stopped seven shots.

Following consecutive losses to Columbia and Ballston Spa, Averill Park picked up a 21-10 victory over Colonie Monday, May 6, in a Suburban Council girls lacrosse game.
Julia Foster and Mia Tessitore each struck for five goals, and Anita Reitano contributed four goals and three assists for the Warriors. Julia Gelder added a hat trick and two assists.

Saratoga Springs held on for a 12-11 victory over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake in a Suburban Council girls lacrosse game Tuesday, April 2, in Saratoga Springs.
Lindsay Frank scored five goals and added an assist to lead the Blue Streaks. Ella Payer had a hat trick and contributed four assists, while goaltender Abigail Searles stopped 11 shots.
MK Lescault tallied five times to lead Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake’s offense.
