Head coach: Mike Conroy (first year)

Last year’s record: 8-8

Playoff result: Four golfers qualified for Sectionals

Returning starters: Shawn Cornelius (senior), Nick Gelder (senior), Jeremy Gregware (senior), Eamon Finnerty (senior)

Graduated: Ryan Guthiel, Brady Dupont, Nate Lapinski, Matt Romano, Brooke Hastings

Newcomers: David Mooradian (eight grader), Zach McGrath (senior), Charlie Dunigan (junior), Aiden Jones (senior)

Outlook for season: The Warriors lost three golfers who qualified for Sectionals in 2017 to graduation – Dupont, Lapinski and Romano. That leaves Averill Park with a group of golfers with not a lot of varsity experience, said Conroy.

“We have some inexperienced players who show some potential,” said Conroy. “In the tough Suburban Council, wins in matches will be tough to come by, but we’ll improve every day and compete.”
