After scoring one point in the first quarter, Whitehall outscored Granville 36-10 over the final three quarters to defeat the Golden Horde 37-20 Friday, Jan. 11, in an Adirondack League girls basketball game.
Zoe Eggleston and Ashlyn Groesbeck each scored nine points for the Railroaders. Groesbeck hit three shots from behind the three-point arc.

Outlook for season: The Burgers return 14 players from last year’s team, making them one of the more veteran-laden teams in the combined Wasaren-Adirondack League.
“The team should be very competitive both within the Wasaren-Adirondack League and Section 2 this year,” said Colvin. “We hope to make a deep run into Sectionals. We have eight seniors leading a very motivated team that knows this may be the last year Warrensburg can field a team without a merger.”
